House Moureau by Willy Van Der Meeren, 9/02

Good afternoon,

we ended 2024 with a visit to a Willy Van Der Meeren house, and we’ll start 2025 with more of the same! As he is my favourite modernist architect, I personally don’t mind and I hope you won’t either.

In a little over two weeks we’ll be visiting Van Der Meeren’s first residential project, house Moreau in Laken, from 1951.

As you can see from the facade, the house has been lovingly restored over the past few years. Partly responsible for this is architect Jonas Devos, who’ll also be showing us around. With all the built-in furniture remaining, it’s a feast for the eyes.
